I'm Meredith Akery. I am the creator, designer, and printer of Sea Heart City Press (est. 2013). I make letterpress cards that make you want to send real mail. My concise, heartfelt, sharp witted, hand-lettered and illustrated designs are inspired by a childhood at the beach and growing wiser in Madrid, NYC, London, DC and Philadelphia. I started SHCP in Washington, DC and founded Brewmaster Studios at the Heurich House Museum in Dupont Circle. In Philly, I enjoyed an amazing studio share at the Crane Arts building in South Kensington. Now, back in the NJ burbs, I crank out the hits in my garage studio in beautiful West Belmar. My small collection of vintage presses include: a Chandler & Price 10 x 15, a Kelsey Excelsior 6 x 10, a Kelsey Model U 5 x 8 and a Golding Official #4.
